HILLVIEW -- What appeared to be a possible solution to a sewage treatment problem in northern Bullitt County may have come apart at the seams.
Six weeks ago, parties with Bullitt Utilities and the Bullitt County Sanitation District were negotiating short- and long-term solutions to handle waste caused by the March 29 failure of the Hunters Hollow treatment facility off East Blue Lick Road.
But, those negotiations have apparently been put on hold as owners of the private utility look at its options to get the waste handled and to satisfy state environmental officials.
