Tax rate to drop in Fox Chase

 FOX CHASE - A tax rate in Bullitt County will drop in 2011.

The city of Fox Chase approved tax rates during its March business meeting.

The council approved a compensating tax rate of 13.88 cents per $100 of real property, down from 13.92 in 2010.

City attorney Mark Edison said the compensating rate determined at what rate Fox Chase would receive the same amount of revenue as the previous year.

A maximum rate of 13.92 was available without further legal newspaper publication.
