This Chapter of AARP would like to thank everyone who helped make our annual fall fundraiser such a success on November 9 – especially John Wigginton and Allen Peavler for their music and auctioning skills, Bullitt East JROTC for presenting colors, Kettle Creek, Bootleg Barbecue, Cracker Barrel and The Cakery for donating the wonderful dinner, and the Baptist Youth who set up, served and cleaned up that evening.

Also a special thanks to the 60 businesses in the area who provided wonderful items to be auctioned, and to many ladies who made desserts which were sold to raise funds. The Ralph Lutes Center was full to capacity, the atmosphere was wonderful and more than $2,000 was raised to provide Christmas gifts for those people in our charities – Star Tree children, residents of Green Meadows and Elmcroft Nursing Homes, residents at the VA Hospital and new this year are residents of Sunshine Children’s Home. Thanks to everyone who participated.
