I would like to take a moment to thank our county magistrates for their effort to make sure that the county’s money is being spent properly and that our county departments are run as they should be. I would like to say a special thank you to Magistrate John Bradshaw for asking the hard questions even though it’s not the popular thing to do.
Magistrates Bradshaw, Ashbaugh and Hunt are doing the job that we the citizens of Bulitt county voted them into to do and that is oversee and manage the county’s finances. Magistrate Bradshaw was also the first to point out an accounting error causing an overpayment to the county attorney’s office.
I am tried of being taxed because those we vote in can’t balance the check book so to speak and raise taxes to bail themselves out. It’s about time our magistrates started working for us and what’s best for the county and not for what will get them re-elected. Magistrates, this is not Monopoly money you’re playing with. This is our hard earned tax dollars. Quit raising taxes and start cutting the pork out of the budget and start saying no to frivolous spending.
Once again thank you for the good work and please keep it up.
