MOUNT WASHINGTON – Few softball teams in the state had a tougher two-week stretch than the one the Bullitt East Lady Chargers just went through.
While the final record was not impressive, 3-6, Bullitt East head coach Ricky Hoffman was not lamenting his scheduling philosophy. The Lady Chargers faced five teams ranked among the top ten squads in the state. That group of teams included the defending state champions (Greenwood), the top-ranked team in the state right now (McCracken County) and a team ranked among the top-25 teams in the country by USA Today (Ballard).
