Tourist group to step up its enforcement on late taxes

SHEPHERDSVILLE - When someone eats a meal in the city limits of Shepherdsville, they are paying an additional 2 percent as part of the way to fund the operation of the Paroquet Springs Conference Centre and the tourist commission.

However, some businesses have not always paid that tax as required.

Enforcement on the collection of the food tax falls to Shepherdsville city government, which had to allow the measure to be adopted.
