HILLVIEW - Two men were arrested Tuesday on multiple robbery charges in Bullitt and Jefferson Counties.

Eric Wade, 24, of Hillview and a 16-year-old Shively juvenile were taken into custody by Louisville Metro Police.

Hillview Police Det. Justin Nally said the arrests were made soon after Hillview patrol units spotted the two suspects during a routine suspicious person report Sunday evening.

Nally said officers collected data from the suspects, who were spotted outside an abandoned rental house in Hillview within close proximity of Wade's residence.

"We have to praise the efforts of our patrol units," said Nally. "Their information allowed us a break in the case."

The suspects were wanted in a "robbery rampage" involving numerous robberies and break-ins, Nally said. One of the robberies included the theft of several firearms from a Hillview business.

Nally said Wade and the juvenile would be charged in Bullitt County with two counts of first-degree burglary. Louisville Metro Police will be adding further charges. The two are being held in Jefferson County.
