MOUNT WASHINGTON - Two Taylorsville residents were hospitalized following an accident at the intersection of Fisher Lane and Highway 44 East late Wednesday morning.
Mount Washington police and fire units responded to the scene around 11:47 a.m.
Officer Mike Huffman of the Mount Washington Police Department said the the crash occurred when a van was turning left onto Highway 44 from Fisher Lane.
Huffman said the van, driven by a Shepherdsville woman, failed to yield right of way and crashed into the car traveling west on Highway 44.
The driver, who was the sole occupant of the van, sustained no injuries, however, the two Taylorsville residents who occupied the car sustained, "non-life-threatening" injuries, according to Huffman.
The two were transported to the hospital via Bullitt County EMS.
