SHEPHERDSVILLE - Just barely beating the snow that would cancel school the next day, both the Bullitt Central Lady Cougars and the North Bullitt Lady Eagles picked up expected wins last Monday.
For Bullitt Central, coach Bryan Bates' team scored over 85 points for the third straight game as they ran past Iroquois 85-44. The Lady Raiders won the state tournament two years ago, but they have fallen on hard times since then.
On Monday, the Lady Cougars outscored the home team 44-17 in the two middle quarters to secure the win behind the play of senior Keoka Hilliard who set a school record with nine three-pointers as she scored 31 points.
Bullitt Central had 14 three-pointers as they also got 13 points from Kaitlyn McKnight and 11 points from Kristen Collins.

Lady Eagles Roll
With a team as young as North Bullitt, there are not many 'guranted' victories, but the green and gold had one on Monday as they rolled past Valley 60-25.
North Bullitt led 19-4 at halftime and never looked back.
The lady Eagles got 15 points from seventh-grader Katie Downey along with 14 points from Caitlin Montgomery.
