SHEPHERDSVILLE -- The first meeting of the newly formed Visual Artists of Bullitt County (VABC) was held at Ridgway Library on Tuesday, Oct. 28, at 6 p.m.

These meetings will continue to be held monthly at the library.

The purpose of the VABC (an auxiliary of Bullitt County Arts Council) is to assemble as 2 dimensional artists and critique each others work in order to seek improvement. There will be future workshops, have displays around Bullitt County in retail establishments, offices, restaurants, etc., and have annual shows and sale of our paintings.

The guidelines for the artwork are that it be 2-dimensional and painted in oil, watercolor, pastel, pencil or acrylic.

At this time, we are not requiring dues for membership, but will ask for dues in 2009.

If you are and artist and are interested in joining our group, please see the contact information below. Everyone is invited.
