PIONEER VILLAGE - The warm winter weather has been good new for the Pioneer Village city council.
Mayor Gary Hatcher informed the council during its January meeting that only about 50 bags of salt had been implemented on city streets this season.
The mild weather also allowed time for the city to upgrade its weather equipment, adding extensions to their snow plows.
A surplus ambulance owned by the city was also fitted with a plow and snow guards for further snow removal use.
