FRANKFORT– Representative Russell Webber, the state representative for Bullitt County’s 49th District, has been selected vice-chairman of the House Economic Development Committee.
“My district has experienced tremendous economic growth, thanks in large part to efforts to draw companies to Bullitt County,” said Webber. “I’m pleased to have been selected to serve as vice-chairman of this committee, and I will work hard on developing new ways to bring new jobs and new opportunities to my district and our Commonwealth.”
“Russell’s selection as vice-chairman is a testament to his abilities and leadership as a freshman legislator,” said House Republican Floor Leader Jeff Hoover, R-Jamestown. “It also reinforces the confidence Russell’s constituents showed by selecting him as their state representative.”
In addition to his appointment as vice-chairman of the House Economic Development Committee, Webber was also named to the House Health and Welfare and Veterans committees.
Webber is beginning his first term in Frankfort.
