DEATSVILLE - The National Weather Service in Louisville confirmed an EF-0 tornado in Bullitt County on Wednesday afternoon.
The event occurred between 2:23 and 2:27 p.m. Wednesday in a 1.5 mile area ranging from Lotus Rd. and Maraman Rd.
Damage reports included several downed or snapped trees, with one falling on a trampoline. Several shingles were removed from one house, while another experienced siding damage.
No one was injured during the event.
An EF-0 tornado is a weak system that is the lowest registered by the Enhanced Fujita Scale, with winds ranging in speed from 65-85 MPH.
NWS had issued a tornado watch for Bullitt County and surrounding areas for most of Wednesday afternoon and evening.
NWS thanked Bullitt County for their assistance in assessing storm damages.
