CLERMONT - Each year Camp Crooked Creek plays host to unique activities for children who ordinarily do not receive such an opportunity.
The Scouting Unlimited Adventure Camp, presented by the Boy Scouts of America Lincoln Heritage Council, offers outdoor fun primarily for special needs students.
The week-long event allows Bullitt County and other Louisville-area students a safe afternoon of riding canoes and kayaks, catching fish, shooting bows and arrows and even playing musical instruments.
Scouting Unlimited hosts the event in conjunction with Learning for Life and its Champions Special Education program, serving over 3,000 students in north central Kentucky and southern Indiana. For more information on the program visit learning.learningforlife.org/programs/special-ed.
