Recently, someone I know was incarcerated in the Bullitt County Jail. I went up to put some money on their account so that they could buy some socks, thermal underwear and other items. I was told that before one single dollar would go to this person I would have to pay his/her $25.00 booking fee and then the jail would also take TWENTY-FIVE percent of any money that I was leaving for him/her!!!! You have GOT TO BE KIDDING!! I didn’t get locked up - so why should I have to pay his/her booking fee?? And on top of that take 25%!!
