I cannot understand why Fiscal Court is so upset with Jailer Knox. She operates the Detention Center to state requirements, has not had any major problems with the inmates, has a loyal staff and work force and is very cooperative with assisting the county and cities in various clean-up efforts.
Recently she purchased two vehicles with funds from the Detention Center canteen. The vehicles are used exclusively for the transportation of inmates and staff. The use of canteen funds for this purpose is legal and cost the taxpayers nothing.
