Woman charged with exploitation

HILLVIEW - A 21-year-old Hillview woman has been arrested and charged with taking money from an elderly man.

Ironically, she was caught by local police agencies after she committed robbery of a Meijer's store on Preston Highway and assaulted a security guard.

Jessica M. Powell is currently in Louisville Metro Corrections on charges related to the Monday night robbery.

Det. Scotty McGaha said police were alerted to the robbery and Hillview police officers pursued Powell and two male adults. They were captured on Carter Avenue and Blue Lick Road.
