HEBRON ESTATES - A former school bookkeeper had been indicted for taking money.
The Bullitt County Grand Jury recently indicted Mary Christie Holt.
Holt has been charged with theft by unlawful taking over $10,000.
According to the indictment, Holt took over $10,000 between Aug. 1, 2012, and April 30, 2013.
This is a Class C felony punishable by 5-10 years in prison.
An indictment does not mean guilt or innocence. It only means that at least nine of the 12 grand jurors felt there was enough evidence to move forward with a criminal trial.
