Woman says she’s guilty of fatal stabbing of husband her husband

 PIONEER VILLAGE - A woman has admitted to Bullitt Circuit Judge Rodney Burress that she killed her husband last June.

Shelley Denise Abell, 50, was in Bullitt Circuit Court on Tuesday and accepted a plea agreement that would send her to prison for the next 17 years.

Abell admitted killing her husband, Rodney Abell, 55, in their Pioneer Village home on June 24, 2010.

She stabbed her husband with an 8-inch fish boning knife. He died at the scene.
