The world survived so writer has to apologize

 Well, it appears now to be official: The world is not ending, and the Dec. 21 deadline for it has come and gone.

I finally decided to leave the safety of my bunker filled with outdated Hostess snack products and return to work. I’ve also decided to make a few apologetic remarks for a few of my actions prior to the Doomsday prediction.
