SHEPHERDSVILLE -- Teachers always have wonderful ideas that may be outside the box.
And, many times, they are definitely outside the budget.
Since 2011, the Bullitt County Foundation for Excellence in Public Education has been rewarding educators who have special ideas that may not be funded in the budget.
During the past five funding cycles, the private organization has given grant money totaling over $57,000 to Bullitt County educators.
The main fund-raiser for the group has always been held during the Derby season.
