     SHEPHERDSVILLE - A traveling memorial to the over 58,000 Americans who lost their lives or are missing in Vietnam has made its appearance in the Louisville area on several occasions in the past.

  • Family Fair hosted by Genealogical Society

     The 2011 Family Fair where families and history come together on Saturday, Aug. 20.

    The Bullitt County Genealogical Society will host this special event at the Ridgway Memorial Library from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m.

    The society will have a display of family heirlooms, family histories, photos and other family memorabilia.

    Also, a representative of DAR will be there to answer questions.

    Everyone is invited to attend. The society will provide refreshments and door prizes.

     LOUISVILLE - Over 11,000 street rods, customs, muscle cars and street machines will be on hand at the Kentucky Expo Center this summer as the National Street Rod Association(r) presents its 42nd Annual Street Rod Nationals Plus. The dates for the city’s largest vintage car show will be Aug. 4-7.
