  • Christmas means family at Nichols

     On his route of stopping at local schools during the Christmas season, the final Breakfast with Santa Claus each year is at Nichols Elementary.

    This year, the remodeled Nichols Elementary greeted a large crowd.

    Besides Santa, there was a shop with hundreds of gifts and visitors could even watch a Christmas movie.

    Among the early visitors to Santa’s lap was a couple of families.

  • Thanksgiving Helpers

     It is a Thanksgiving tradition at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church and the First Baptist Church of Shepherdsville.

    Volunteers at both churches arrive early to prepare over 700 meals for others on the Thanksgiving holiday.

    The churches rely upon members, as well as community groups, such as the Boy Scouts, to help cook, prepare and deliver the meals around the community.
