Old Mill Elementary fourth grader Whitney Fox, who has taken dance lessons since she was a toddler, auditioned for her part in August.
FRANKFORT - BullittCounty Clerk Kevin Mooney, recently attended the Kentucky County Clerks’ Association Fall Conference, in Louisville, Kentucky.
While at the conference, Kevin Mooney, who has served as county clerk since 2007, attended numerous training sessions that were geared toward helping county clerks become more knowledgeable about their offices.
Some of the sessions focused on election procedures, while others focused on procedures for recordings, and titling and registration of motor vehicles.
MOUNT WAHSINGTON - A group of regional musicians is stringing together some free shows for Bullitt Countians.
The Preston Highway String Band features a collection retirees who decided to play community concerts featuring Bluegrass, Country and Old-Time Gospel music.
Bill Fowler, a 40-year employee with L&N Railroad, emcees the shows while also singing some of the songs and keeping pace on the dobro.
"We all are retired and do this to hopefully make life a little better for the people that we meet and play for," Fowler said.
MOUNT WASHINGTON – Over the past six years Mount Washington resident David Echsner has devoted himself to helping students expand their minds and learn valuable skills through the science of robotics.
Echsner, who coaches the Kentucky Engineers of Tomorrow, a competitive robotics team made up of students from Bullitt, Henry, Jefferson, Oldham and Shelby Counties, believes robotics can help students reach their full potential.
