HEBRON ESTATES – For all intent and purpose, Fred Gross was not supposed to be speaking to a group of U.S. history students at North Bullitt High School.
HEBRON ESTATES - It’s midday and students fill the North Bullitt High School halls between classes.
SHEPHERDSVILLE - The lights are dimmed while scented candles burn. Hundreds of photos and movie posters line the walls.

Bullitt East High School freshman Savannah Warner has been honored with a Louisville YMCA Youth Character Award.
YMCA Membership Director Anita Stump submitted a glowing nomination that accentuated Savannah’s belief on God.
“I really liked that they highlighted my strong Christian faith,” Savannah said. “My faith is the most important thing in my life.”
Dr. James Cundiff was honored by Bullitt County Judge/Executive Melanie Roberts and fiscal court members on Tuesday.
Jan. 15, 2013, was proclaimed as Cundiff’s day.
He retired after 34 years of medical service in Bullitt County.
For well over 20 years Cundiff served as the medical director for Bullitt County EMS on an unpaid, volunteer status.
He also served as chairman of the Bullitt County Public Health Board for over three decades.
