The damp Monday weather didn’t dampen the spirits of those celebrating local Memorial Day services.

The annual county service in Shepherdsville was moved into the Bullitt County Courthouse, with members of the American Legion Post 157 placing a wreath in front of a plaque honoring the military.

Dirk “Mac” McCoy was the honorary guest speaker, representing the American Legion.

The rain stayed mostly away during the annual ceremony held outside at the Lebanon Junction Post Office, hosted by VFW Post 8293.
