Pharmacy secures grant for agencies to receive Narcan

SHEPHERDSVILLE - A local pharmacy found a new and unique way to help protect and serve the community.

B&B Pharmacy acquired an opioid action grant through the Narcan manufacturer Adapt. Narcan is the drug that temporarily suspends an overdose.

Co-owner Ellen Barger, Pharm D, RPh, applied for the grant through the pharmacy on behalf of the area’s first responders. She learned about the grant through Cardinal Health, one of its distribution companies.
