Stark part of state program to prepare district leaders

MOUNT WASHINGTON -- Growing up in New Orleans, Dr. Geneva Stark always knew her career would be as an educator.

While her career has been diverse, the common thread has always been education.

During the past year, Stark has been part of a state fellowship which prepares minority educators to become superintendents.

For the resident of Mount Washington, this fellowship through the state Department of Education has seen her work both in Bullitt and Shelby counties.
