More indictments: Former chief deputy facing more charges

SHEPHERDSVILLE -- A former Bullitt County sheriff’s chief deputy has been indicted on three felony counts involving the handling of evidence.

John Cottrell, who was relieved of his duties last October, now faces three Class D felonies.

The Bullitt County Grand Jury issued the indictments Wednesday.

And, in a hearing on Thursday, two felony counts which had been dismissed were reinstated.
