Traffic nightmare moves north as Interstate 65 work continues

SHEPHERDSVILLE - If you are traveling anywhere in Bullitt County over the next few months, plan ahead and don’t get in a hurry.

The $20.7 million project to replace concrete sections of Interstate 65 is continuing to progress northward.

This week, Interstate 65 between Shepherdsville and Preston Highway saw a major traffic pattern change.

Andrea Clifford, spokesperson for the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet, said northbound I-65 will be reduced to the right two lanes from Highway 44 to just past the Highway 61 overpass.
