MOUNT WASHINGTON - An old pastime is making way for a new one.
A Lasting Staple
At the end of June, Bullitt East Bowling Center in Mount Washington closed its doors after more than 30 years of business, said owner Bill Whelan.
He said health reasons and the “down swing” of bowling lead to the decision.
“Open bowling has really dropped off. It’s due to a lot of things—gas, economy, more outside sports for kids to play,” said the Cox’s Creek resident.
