HILLVIEW -- After several months of discussion, Hillview officials finally reached a resolution to the issue of fireworks.
More specifically, the issue of temporary fireworks stands.
By a 4-2 vote, with councilmembers JoAnn Wick and Karen Johnson in opposition, the council approved its new ordinance.
The major issue for operators was the $100 per day fee to be charged for a 14-day period.
While the council listened to the concerns, members did lower the amount required for a permit.
