Stories for the holidays

Sheri Hamilton, principal of Nichols Elementary, was busy reading Christmas stories to youngsters during a recent holiday celebration at the school.

Santa made an appearance as the community was invited to eat cookies with St. Nick.

Safety on minds of school officials

UPDATE (Thursday, 12/20, 3:45 p.m.) - Bullitt County Public Schools superintendent Keith Davis announced that the Bullitt County Sheriffs Office will house a deputy at each school on Friday.

Student found with broken pellet gun on bus

A North Bullitt student is in custody after parts of a pellet gun were taken onto a Bullitt County Public Schools bus Monday morning.

Zoneton Middle students support agencies

Students at Zoneton Middle School have been raising funds for a variety of local agencies.

Recently, the American Red Cross and the Susan G. Komen Foundation both were part of an assembly program, which also included a check presentation for the movement of the Bowman Valley schoolhouse.

Over $600 in checks were presented. The money was raised by students during various activities during the school year.
