    But you need to find the best way to pay for that college education, preferably with money you do not have to pay back. These tips from the Kentucky Higher Education Assistance Authority (KHEAA) may help.

    The holiday season has once again sprung upon us. Let the food, cheerfulness, and last minute shopping begin!

    But wait….what should you get those loved ones? Well a healthy and delicious solution would be a holiday fruit basket.

    The Bullitt Central FFA chapter would like to announce their annual holiday fruit sales. This fruit contributes to the chapter, and it allows the students to do more school, and community activities. This fruit sale provides many opportunities for students as well as people within the community.

  • Cedar Grove students 'crazy' about helping military kids

    CEDAR GROVE - In honor of the Veterans Day holiday, Cedar Grove Elementary students let their hair down.

    Or up. Or out. Or all around. In all shapes and colors.

    Students were allowed to participate in Crazy Hair Day with a $1 donation toward the Our Military Kids fund, sponsored by the Military Kids Foundation.

     Bullitt County Public Schools has been awarded $311,945 in federal funds for the purchase of five hybrid diesel/electric school buses.

  • Veteran's Day 2011

     Major Tim Starke didn’t think he would get to attend the annual Overdale Elementary Veteran’s Day salute.

    However, his unit returned home recently and Starke was once again a major part of the school celebration.

    But on Friday, his son, Ben, a preschool student at Overdale, also played a role. Wife and mom, Heidi, is a teacher at the school.

    SHEPHERDSVILLE - A little freedom and responsibility is something Bullitt Central hopes their students can taste.

  • District awarded hybrid diesel/electric school bus grant

     Bullitt County Public Schools has been awarded $311,945 in federal funds for the purchase of five hybrid diesel/electric school buses.

         The grant is a pair of firsts for the district.

         It is the first application proposal prepared by Grant Writer Juliann Vachon who joined the district in August and submitted the grant in September. She collaborated with District Transportation Director Ida Prather to create an award-winning proposal.
