  • Police investigating death as motorcyclist hit by truck

     CLERMONT - A man died Monday afternoon in an accident along Highway 61.

    According to Cpt. Mike Murdoch, public information officer for the Bullitt County Sheriff’s Office, law enforcement officers were called to the intersection of Highway 61 and Highway 245 at around 3:45 p.m. on Monday.

    Dakota Grider, 19, of Okolona, was riding his motorcycle northbound on Preston Highway.

    A male was driving a Chevrolet pickup truck southbound on Highway 61.

    The unidentified man made a left turn onto Highway 245.

     SHEPHERDSVILLE - The famous path for the U.S. Marines runs from the Halls of Montezuma to the shores of Tripoli.

    For PFC Cody Clark, the road went from Shepherdsville to Campbellsville.

    A 2010 Bullitt Central graduate, Clark recently graduated from the U.S. Marine Corps Recruit Depot at Parris Island, S.C.

    Clark first attended Campbellsville University following high school graduation, where he played soccer.

    On Friday afternoon, Crossroads Elementary fourth grader Andrea Miracle received the best present of all-- her brother, Jake.

    This was going to be the first year Jacob Miracle, 19, was not going to be able to be home for Christmas with his family. He recently joined the Army and has been stationed in Italy.

    It has been almost nine months since he last visited home.
