  • Weekend fire guts popular MW eatery

     MOUNT WASHINGTON – What was a bustling restaurant filled with people on Friday night was reduced to a fire damaged shell strewn with debris on Saturday after an early morning fire ripped through the Kettle Creek in Mount Washington. 

    Mount Washington Fire Chief Michael Dooley said Fern Creek, Shepherdsville and Mount Washington fire units responded to the scene at 1150 North Bardstown Rd. around 3 a.m., shortly after the fire broke out.

  • Cedar Grove Rd. section closed this weekend

     The Department of Highways District 5 Office announces the temporary closure of KY 480 (Cedar Grove Road) in Bullitt County between Omega Parkway and Mooney Lane (mile points 1.69 and 2.26).

    This closure is scheduled from 8:00 p.m. on Friday, April 15th until 5:00 a.m. on Monday, April 18th as part of the KY 480 widening project. 

    Motorists should follow the signed detour via Omega Parkway, Gordon Food Industrial Drive and Park Loop Road.
