  • 480C section closed through end of year

     The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) District 5 Office advises motorists that KY 480C (Old Cedar Grove Road) in Bullitt County will be closed between KY 480 and KY 2237 (Salt River Road).

    This roadway is scheduled for closure December 6-31 to allow for sewer line installation.

    Local access will be allowed, but through traffic should follow the signed detour.

    The actual starting date and duration of this work may be adjusted if inclement weather or other unforeseen delays occur.

  • ROADWORK: Week of Dec. 3

     The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet District 5 reports the following roadwork scheduled for the week of Dec. 3:

    Bullitt County:

    Routine maintenance

    Jefferson County:

    Interstate 64:  Lane closures and delays possible at the Hurstbourne Parkway entrance and exit ramps (mile point 15.0) due to interchange improvements.  These lane closures are possible weeknights from 9:00 p.m. until 5:00 a.m. the following morning.  Shoulder closures are possible during the daytime. 

  • Bullitt Countians can take advantage of national prescription discount plan

     Bullitt County officials are encouraging the public to take advantage of a free prescription discount card available to county residents regardless of age, income, or existing health coverage.

    The hassle-free card, available since 006 through the county’s membership in the National Association of Counties (NACo), has resulted in more than $365,000 in savings for residents on their prescription drug costs.

  • Police seek help in armed robbery investigation

     The Shepherdsville Police Department is investigating an armed robbery of the Circle K convenience store located at 1492 Highway 44w at the intersection of Raymond Road.

    At approximately 2:30am on Tuesday November 27th a male suspect wearing a camouflage coat, gloves and a ski mask entered the store and threatened the clerk with a handgun.

    The suspect took cash from the register and a large box containing cartons of Marlboro brand cigarettes before fleeing.

      The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet District 5 reports the following roadwork scheduled for the week of Nov. 26:

    Pothole patching, sweeping, drain & ditch cleaning, pavement marking, and maintenance crews may work on major interstates in the Louisville Metro area only during non-peak daytime hours and at night.  Motorists should watch for roadside maintenance and pavement marking crews on interstates and highways throughout the rest of the district on a daily basis.
