  • ROADSHOW for the week beginning April 23, 2017

     Inclement weather or other unforeseen circumstances may occur, so the information below is strictly of an advisory nature and is subject to change with no notice.

     

    Pothole patching, sweeping, drain & ditch cleaning, pavement marking, and maintenance crews may work on major interstates in the Louisville Metro area only during non-peak daytime hours and at night.  Motorists should watch for roadside maintenance and pavement marking crews on interstates and highways throughout the rest of the district on a daily basis.

     

  • LG&E, Ky. Utilities agree on rates

     Louisville Gas and Electric Company, Kentucky Utilities Company and most parties to the utilities’ rate review have reached an agreement filed with the Kentucky Public Service Commission today.  

  • FLASHLIGHT EASTER EGG HUNT

     Members and visitors were welcomed to Kings Baptist Church for a flashlight egg hunt.

    Before it got dark, the group ate dinner and the children crafted reminders of what the Easter season is truly about.

    Pastor Derrick Ousley delivered an Easter message before beginning the hunt outside where all age groups were welcome to find the candy-filled eggs.

    Several baskets were also given away to different age groups, including a Vacation Bible School preview basket.

  • KSP make arrest in Grayson Co. murder of LJ man

     LEITCHFIELD – Kentucky State Police Post 04 Detectives are conducting a murder investigation in Grayson Co.

    On April 19, 2017 at approximately 12:46 PM EDST KSP Post 4 in Elizabethtown was contacted by the Grayson Co. Sheriff’s Office asking for assistance on a death investigation involving the body of a deceased male found off of Frontage Rd.

    Through investigation, Detectives were able to determine that Robert D. Hayes (56) of Lebanon Jct. had died as the result of a homicide.

  • I-65 ramp closure tonight in Jefferson County

     LOUISVILLE - The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) advises motorists of a ramp closure tonight on Interstate 65 in Jefferson County. KYTC maintenance crews will be performing pavement repairs on the exit ramp from I-65 North to KY 1065 (The Outer Loop).

    The I-65 North exit ramp to the Outer Loop (Exit 127) will be closed from 6 p.m. on Wednesday evening, April 19 until 6 a.m. on Thursday, April 20. Crews will be removing a deteriorated section of concrete pavement and replacing it with asphalt.

  • Walking of the Cross

     Members of Full Gospel Christian Center led the annual cross walk through downtown Shepherdsville on Good Friday.

    The group stopped for prayer at the Bullitt County Courthouse before continuing the march through town.

  • Monday night northbound I-65 lane closures

     LOUISVILLE - The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) advises motorists of a lane closure tonight on Interstate 65 in Jefferson County.

    KYTC maintenance crews will be performing pavement repairs on I-65 North beginning at the Jefferson/Bullitt County line and extending one mile north.

    The right lane of I-65 North will be closed between mile points 123 and 124 on Monday evening, April 17. This work is scheduled from 6:30 p.m. until 5:00 a.m. on Tuesday morning.

  • STAND OFF: Man captured, warrants served in MW

     MOUNT WASHINGTON— What started as a post-burglary search warrant quickly turned into a standoff situation.

    On Monday afternoon, two residences were broken into in the Treva Drive area.

    Due to several firearms being included in the list of stolen items, Louisville Metro Police was called in to assist with the high-risk search warrant on Tuesday, April 11, Daugherty said.

  • Grayson Co. police seek endangered missing juvenile

     CLARKSON - The Leitchfield Police Department, the Grayson County Sheriff’s Office, and other law enforcement agencies are currently searching for a missing juvenile.

    Sixteen-year-old Savanna C. Crawford was last seen leaving her residence located on Penner Drive in Leitchfield, KY at approximately 7:00 p.m. CT on Monday, April 10, 2017.

  • Holy Week Services

     First Baptist Church of Shepherdsville hosted its annual Holy Week services, which run through Friday at Noon.

    On Monday, St. Aloysius deacon Ted Luckett brought the message and the St. Aloysius choir led the singing.

    The services begin at noon and conclude by 12:30 p.m., with a light lunch served immediately after the worship service.

    Each day includes different speakers from St. Aloysius Catholic, Hebron Presbyterian, Davidson Memorial United Methodist, Family Worship Center and First Baptist.
