SHEPHERDSVILLE - What was first feared as a plane crashing in Shepherdsville was fortunately only a glider landing in a field.
Emergency units were dispatched to a reported plane crash call at 3:49 p.m. off of Buffalo Run Rd., near Cedar Grove Rd. and Interstate 65.
First respondents at the scene found an empty glider with no pilot.
"It wasn't really a crash," said Shepherdsville Fire chief Layne Troutman. "(The pilot) just landed in a field."
