  • Cornett Racing Engines to Sponsor 11th Annual Bluegrass Classic at Bluegrass Speedway

     BARDSTOWN - Bluegrass Speedway track promoters David and Anita Ferrell are pleased to announce that Cornett “Thunder and Lightning” Racing Engines of Somerset, KY will be the sponsor of the track’s 11th Annual Bluegrass Classic.  The event will take place on Saturday August 27 and will be sanctioned by the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series.

  • Bullitt roadway closures scheduled this week

     The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet District 5 office announced road closings scheduled for the week of Apr. 3.

    There will be intermittent closures on both directions of Interstate 65 Sunday morning.

    Utility work is taking place at mile 120.5, just south of the Brooks Road exit.

    The roadway could be shut down for as long as 15 minutes at a time. The bulk of the work is scheduled between 7 and 8 a.m.

    Highway 434 in Lebanon Junction will be temporarily closed on Wednesday, Apr. 6. for cross drain repairs.

     SHEPHERDSVILLE - The controversial Bullitt County smoking ban may lead to a burning down of the entire community.

    Under severe pressure from local voters, businesses and churches, Bullitt Fiscal Court members finally came up with a solution to their lingering issues: Secession.

    In an unprecedented turn of events, Fiscal Court declared, without an official vote, that Bullitt County would secede from both the Commonwealth of Kentucky and the United States of America.

  • Mystery Shopping Scam Uses BBB Name

     Scam artists are using the Better Business Bureau’s good name in a Mystery Shopping Scam.

    BBB Evaluation Inc promises to pay $50 to $100 an hour. The email states “your urgent response needed ASAP.” An excerpt from the email, which has several grammatical and spelling mistakes, is below:
