Bullitt Fiscal Court accepted the recommendation of parks director Kendall Grant to slightly increase fees for the county's swimming pools.

To date, only the Maryville pool has been opened with the necessary repairs to meet the federal Virginia Graeme Baker safety bill.

Grant recommended the admission fee rise from $3 to $3.50 and that the coupon books go from $15 to $20 for 10 tickets.

The former CRA Super Series champion, who won a 100-lap CRA Late Model race at Salem last season, will be climbing behind the wheel of the familiar blue and white, No. 55, Barnes Auto Service Chevrolet for his first start of the year.
