  • Hit and run still under investigation

    SHEPHERDSVILLE – A five-vehicle hit and run accident on Highway 44 left a Shepherdsville woman critically injured and a Louisville man and two juveniles hospitalized the afternoon of Sunday, April 22.

    Sgt. Charlie Mann of the Bullitt County Sheriff’s Department said emergency personnel arrived on the scene of the accident at 4059 Highway 44 East around 5:30 p.m.

    The sheriff’s department believes the vehicle at fault for the multiple-vehicle crash is a white Ford Ranger, according to eyewitness accounts.

  • Clements appointed magistrate

     MOUNT WASHINGTON - A well-known business man and community leader will take his seat officially on Bullitt Fiscal Court for the first Tuesday morning.
     Gov. Steve Beshear appointed Rick Clements as magistrate of Second District. He fills the seat vacated when first-term magistrate Dan Kelty resigned to take a position with the Mount Washington Police Department.

  • Schnellenberger takes shooting touch to Berea

     SHEPHERDSVILLE - One of the best shooters in the state will be firing up long shots for the next four years at Berea College.
     Last week, Bullitt Central senior Ryan Schnellenberger made it all official when he signed with the Mountaineers, a team that posted a 10-18 mark during the regular season this past winter under head coach John Hemenway.
     For the 6-3 Schnellenberger, Berea was the option that he could just not turn down.
