Every year, Nichols Elementary School students create some very imaginative musical instruments...by hand.
Take the top part of an oatmeal canister. Make nine holes in it. Pull fishing line through each hole and cut it.
Attach the line to small metal pieces at the top while the end that hangs is adorned with nuts, bolts and weights. Draw musical images on the top and tie one final piece of fishing line to the center.
