     HEBRON ESTATES – Coming off one of the best seasons in the program’s history, a season that included the championship of the 23rd District Tournament as well as a spot in the semi-finals of the Sixth Region Tournament, the North Bullitt Lady Eagles are in a rebuilding mode this fall.

         That fact was true long before the three Bullitt County schools joined the Sixth Region for volleyball last season.

  • Volleyball season opens play next Monday

     SHEPHERDSVILLE – After a season that included more than its fair share of disappointments, the Bullitt Central volleyball team is looking for a much better season in 2013.

         That is often the feeling when you have every player back from a year ago. After posting a 5-26 mark, coach Katie VanVactor’s program is looking to be if just because they are older and more experienced.

  • Voyles brings new ideas, experience to BCPS food services

     After working for school food programs at the state level for several years, Angela Voyles decided now was the time to make the jump to the local level. 

    “I wanted to work with the programs I had been administrating for so many years,” Voyles said. 

    Voyles, who has worked in both Kentucky and Florida, was recently hired as the new director of School Food Services for Bullitt County Public Schools. 

    “I’m very excited and happy to be here,” she said.

     There were excited faces, sleepy faces, nervous faces and smiley faces, all of them ready to begin the first day of school in Bullitt County.

    BCPS began on Wednesday, Aug. 7, the official opening of the 2013-14 semester.
