SHEPHERDSVILLE - Property owners could be paying a little more to the school system when tax bills are sent out within the next month.
The Bullitt County Public School Board will meet on Tuesday, Sept. 7, to discuss the proposed tax rates and then vote following the public hearing.
The meeting begins at 6 p.m. at the central office. The public is encouraged to attend.
Under the proposed rate, the real property tax would increase from 52.9 cents per $100 of assessment to 55.2 cents. On a $100,000 home, this would amount to a $23 increase.
