  • Late BC comeback falls short at Warren East

     BOWLING GREEN - With a home play-off berth there for the taking, the Bullitt Central Cougars inexplicably came out flat on Friday against Class 4-A Warren East.

  • East gets home playoff game on Friday

     SHEPHERDSVILLE - The Bullitt East Chargers lost on the field Friday night, but the red and gold won the contest on paper that will give them the number two seed and a first-round home play-off game this Friday against North Hardin.

  • Defensive tricks provide lot of treats for North Bullitt fans

         FAIRDALE - It was still a few days before Halloween but Fairdale quarterback Boo Crabtree was throwing a little scare into some of the North Bullitt faithful on Friday night.

         MOUNT WASHINGTON - Bullitt East head coach Darrell Vincent felt his Chargers could score points against a winless Nelson County team.

  • TAPP hosts Halloween

     SHEPHERDSVILLE - The littlest trick-or-treaters of them all gathered together for their first halloween party.

    The Riverview Opportunities Center Teenage Parenting Program (TAPP) hosted its 12th annual party for students and families.

    This year's group featured eight current TAPP babies in costume.

    Other TAPP students that are still expecting assisted with serving punch and treats.

  • Bullitt County tourism wins statewide honors

    FRANKFORT - Bullitt County Tourist and Convention Commission has received two awards in the 2011 Kentucky Travel Industry Association's (KTIA) Traverse Awards for Excellence in Tourism Marketing competition.

    The Bullitt County Tourist and Convention Commission received its awards Tuesday October 18 during the Traverse Gala held at the Lexington Convention Center as part of the 2011 Kentucky Travel Industry Association's Annual Conference.

  • Dental office in MW to buy back extra Halloween candy for troops

    MOUNT WASHINGTON – Halloween: it’s the one time of the year when kids get to delight in mountains of sweets.

    Unfortunately, Halloween treats lead to more than sugar highs; they contribute to obesity and tooth decay, which is why one local dentist is giving trick-or-treaters the chance to trade their candy for cold, hard cash.

    On Tuesday, Nov. 1, Ford Family Dental will host its first ever Halloween Candy Buy Back, where kids will receive $1 for every pound of candy they bring in.

        SHEPHERDSVILLE - Bullitt Fiscal Court will have an opportunity Tuesday to vote on accepting a bid for gasoline months after companies were invited to make offers for the business.
        And fiscal court members will not have to worry about any conflict of interest issues.
