  • Greer serves counties well

Congratulations to the Kentucky General Assembly for passing Senate Bill 97, a long-awaited piece of legislation that represents a firm stand for education, Kentucky’s youth, and the long-term economic strength of this state.First Lady Jane Beshear, myself and many members of my administration have been working on the so-called Graduation Bill for five years now because keeping our kids in school until they graduate or turn 18 is one of the single-best things we can do for them.

  • Remove the car

There is one way to remove drunk drivers from the road. We must remove the CAR. If the car was take from him and sold, he would have nothing to drive. If I went hunting or fishing with no license the courts could take my car, boat, gun (truck camper, etc.) what ever I have at that time. Is a FISH or DEER more important than a HUMAN?

  • Salute to Norman

What’s done is done. – William Shakespeare

  • Industrial hemp

Just read in the Courier where KY Legislator Greg Stumbo (D-Prestonsburg) nailed his own political coffin.

  • Protect my rights

My name is Robert Huff , as you know by now I have rental property here in Shepherdsville, Kentucky. I have always tried to be a good citizen and pay my bills. But you have caused me considerable amount of problems with the contract you signed with Eco-Tech.

  • Attend fiscal court

With the next primary elections for Bullitt County Fiscal Court 14 months away, I would like to encourage all the residents of Bullitt County to attend two or more of the 28 (as of this writing) Fiscal Court meetings before the primary in 2014.

  • Property rights?

There are several issues with Representative Floyd’s defense of the so-called “property right.” He claims business owners have which would allow them to avoid any requirement that they ask smokers to smoke outside the building.

  • Call? Maybe

Yes, Mr./Dr. Jett, we will call you? Maybe!!

  • Protect the children

As a mother of a child with a severe, life-threatening allergy to peanuts, I am in support of HB 172, which would allow schools to stock Epinephrine auto injectors for emergencies.

  • Kudos to the Kids

As in anything we have positives and negatives and even a half-filled glass of water can be referred to as half-full or half-empty. I prefer half-full. I am proud to call Bullitt County my birthplace and home. We are not without challenges to improve our county and solve more than our share of problems that lay before us.
