 The Jackson Hill General Baptist Church Youth Group would like to thank everyone who came out and joined us on Feb. 26 for our first breakfast fundraiser.

Also, the kids would like to thank all the members that helped to put this together and a special thank you to Sharon Breeding for all of her help making this an extra special morning. We are very grateful that our breakfast was a huge success. We appreciate all the generous donations. The proceeds will go towards our Vacation Bible School and many other youth activities.

 Thanks to all the wonderful people who supported First Lady Jane Breshear’s Shop and Share program held at the Kroger stores in February.

The Shop and Share program was established to give shoppers the opportunity to help supply and support the Domestic Violence shelters and Day Centers in Kentucky. This year thanks to the generosity and support of the Shepherdsville and Mount Washington Kroger stores, hundreds of supplies were collected for the Day Center in Bullitt County.

 I am extremely surprised and saddened to see the recent steam-rolling of the citizens in Bullitt County by an entity supposedly on our side.

The ‘survey’ taken by the Health Department on the proposed ‘Smoking Ban’ and the results presented to the public is an example of stretching the numbers to suit the situation, while completely fooling the public into believing the issue is protecting citizens from cigarette smoke - when in fact it is truly a step at MORE government policing of our daily lives. 

 This letter goes out to all of you (like me) that have taken my car to what I thought was  a reputable dealership or mechanic, to find out (like I) that dome aren’t so honest!!!
