The site contacts job seekers via email or text message about seeing their resume online and guarantees a job after registering. A job offer never materializes but identity theft often occurs. Be careful giving out your personal information!

     

  • Rally may give some preview of fall elections

        On Thursday evening, Bullitt County will host its first tea party event. The featured speaker will be Dr. Rand Paul, the Republican nominee for U.S. Senate.

        The setting will be at the front portion of the Shepherdsville First Street Park next to Buckman Street.

        The local Voices for Independence organization is hosting the event.

        The question is whether there will be a large crowd at the event. Our guess is that there will be a number of people present.

        In the wake of any disaster, many reach for their checkbooks and donate money to organizations. But, with any disaster are a slew of scams. In the wake of the oil spill, the BBB Wise Giving Alliance cautions consumers to beware that scammers will use e-mails, websites, door-to-door collections, flyers, mailings, and telephone calls to make contact and solicit money. Some will claim they are raising money for environmental causes or they may offer fraudulent services like remediation services related to the oil spill.

        Capitalizing on popular news events of the day, combined with upcoming elections, officials were playing for every vote possible.

        Bullitt County Judge/Executive Melanie Roberts began dealing out the likelihood of Bullitt County officially campaigning to host the next FIFA World Cup Soccer tournament.
