Motorists using Highway 44, especially in the Mount Washington area, should be warned.
Work is slated to begin on July 18 to mill off the top portion of the roadway.
Resurfacing is set for July 20-29, depending on weather.
According to county road foreman Jimmy Stivers, work is supposed to be done from 7 p.m. through 5 a.m.
Even if the work is being done at night, Stivers said to expect traffic issues.
Work continues on Interstate 65 and on Highway 61.
